SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Leslie Joseph "Les" Grove of Johnsburg, 
4who passed away on December 28, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Les Grove was born in Waterloo, Iowa to Harry J. 
6and Joyce P. Grove on April 14, 1955; he married Janet Warren 
7on November 13, 1980; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Les Grove was a member of the Lions Club for over 
930 years; he loved music and singing, snowmobiling, boating, 
10milkshakes, and telling jokes; he was a patriotic man and  took 
11pride in his work; he was a sports enthusiast and an avid White 
12Sox fan; he enjoyed coaching his kids and was affectionately 
13known as "The Coach"; and
  
 
  
14    WHEREAS, Les Grove was preceded in death by his parents and 
15his son, Brandon Grove; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Les Grove is survived by his wife of 37 years, 
17Janet; his children, Taylor (Amanda) Grove and Cortnee (Chris) 
18Snell; and his grandchildren, Easton and Lucas Snell; 
19therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Leslie Joseph "Les" Grove, and extend our sincere condolences 
3to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
4it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Les Grove as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
