2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Darrel Wayne Stark of Moline, who passed |
4 | | away on January 8, 2018; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Darrel Stark was born in Wynne, Arkansas to Ottie |
6 | | Stark and Alda Evelyn Clampit on October 20, 1948; he graduated |
7 | | from Moline High School in 1966; he then joined the United |
8 | | States Army; he served honorably as a nuclear weapons |
9 | | specialist for three years; he married Carol Jean Holton on |
10 | | July 21, 1979; he graduated from Hamilton Technical College |
11 | | with a degree in electric engineering technology in 1986; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Darrel Stark worked for McLaughlin Body Company |
13 | | and International Harvester Company for several years; he then |
14 | | worked for Cobhan Life Support for 25 years; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Darrel Stark was an avid fisherman who spent many |
16 | | summers in Bagley, Wisconsin with his family; he was a Master |
17 | | Gardener whose tomatoes were well known; he enjoyed camping and |
18 | | spending many winters in Hattiesburg, Mississippi; he recently |
19 | | checked items off of his bucket list when he traveled to |
20 | | Alaska, Australia, and New Zealand; another adventure included |
21 | | an overnight ride aboard the USS Bremerton (SSN 698) out of |
22 | | Pearl Harbor, Hawaii with his son; and
