SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Steven M. Velge of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on February 20, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Steven Velge was born in Moline to Francis and 
6Mabel Scanlan Velge on September 7, 1949; he was a veteran of 
7the United States Army; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Steven Velge worked for the Illinois Department of 
9Transportation; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Steven Velge was a member of the Milan American 
11Legion Post 569 and the Rock Island Conservation Club; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, Steven Velge is survived by his mother and his 
13many cousins and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
16Steven M. Velge and extend our sincere condolences to his 
17family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
18further
  
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
