SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Thomas D. "Tom" Linford of Warrenville, 
4who passed away on February 19, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Tom Linford was born in Breckenridge, Minnesota to 
6Avard and Venice Linford on July 3, 1945; he played football in 
7high school and graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, 
8Iowa in 1967; he served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant; 
9he served in Vietnam and earned many decorations and honors, 
10including the Purple Heart; he married Linda on February 20, 
111988; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Tom Linford worked as Director of Marketing for 
13Teepak in Oak Brook for many years, retiring in 2005; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Tom Linford enjoyed golf, hunting, bowling, and 
15dancing; and
  
 
  
16    WHEREAS, Tom Linford is survived by his wife, Linda; his 
17children, Michelle (John) Linford, Amy (David) Hadley, and 
18Thomas Linford; and his grandchildren, Kayla, Noah, Nathan, and 
19David; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Thomas D. "Tom" Linford, and extend our sincere condolences to 
3his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Tom Linford as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
