| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Jack B. Blane, who passed away on |
| 4 | | February 19, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack Blane leaves a legacy of immeasurable |
| 6 | | dedication and commitment to Rotary International; his focus |
| 7 | | for the last 30 years was on PolioPlus, the global eradication |
| 8 | | of polio; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jack Blane was active with the Highland Park |
| 10 | | Community Foundation, the Boy Scouts of America, the City of |
| 11 | | Highland Park, and numerous other organizations; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jack Blane was preceded in death by his wife of 61 |
| 13 | | years, Joan (Fleischman); and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Jack Blane was the loving father of Barbara (Rand) |
| 15 | | Toney, the late Nancy (Tony) Guerra, and John Blane; and the |
| 16 | | proud grandfather of Sarah (Patrick Pauley) Toney, David Toney, |
| 17 | | and Nathan Blane; therefore, be it

| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
| 19 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
