SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Larry Keith Longman of East Alton, who 
4passed away on March 6, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Longman was born in Alton to Leland and 
6Verna (Newton) Longman on January 1, 1939; he graduated from 
7Roxana High School in 1957; he was a veteran of the United 
8States Army; he married Kay Fiegenbaum on December 15, 1962; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Larry Longman worked as an electrician at Laclede 
11Steel until his retirement in 2001; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Larry Longman enjoyed the simple things in life, 
13especially his family and his dogs; he was an avid fan of the 
14Roxana Shells; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Larry Longman was preceded in death by his 
16parents; his brother, Kenneth Longman; and his sister, Shirley 
17Brooks Gavlick; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Larry Longman is survived by his wife, Kay; his 
19daughters, Stacie Jane (Greg) Garland, Kimberly Kay (Mike) 
20Chappell, and Kristi Lynn (Tom) Skundrich; his grandchildren,

1Brittany Kay Osbourne, Ryan Michael Chappell, Trey Mathew 
2Garland, and Jordan Rose Skundrich; and his 
3great-grandchildren, Leighton, Landri, and Langston Oxbourne; 
4therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Larry Keith Longman and extend our sincere condolences to his 
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of Larry Longman as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
