| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Jack Coder of Hampton, who passed away on |
| 4 | | March 26, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack Coder was born in Moline to Harold William |
| 6 | | and Gertrude Marie (Duncan) Coder on July 8, 1930; he graduated |
| 7 | | from United Township High School in East Moline, where he was |
| 8 | | president of the senior class; he then graduated from Augustana |
| 9 | | College in 1952, where he was on the football team; he served |
| 10 | | in Korea in the United States Army; he married Beverly McNeal |
| 11 | | in Hampton on December 26, 1954; he completed his master's |
| 12 | | degree at the University of Iowa; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jack Coder was employed by Moline School District |
| 14 | | No. 40 as a guidance counselor at Moline High School for 38 |
| 15 | | years; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jack Coder was a charter member of the Hampton |
| 17 | | Historical Society and a member of the Blackhawk Retired |
| 18 | | Teachers Association; he enjoyed history and genealogy; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Jack Coder was preceded in death by his siblings, |
| 20 | | Harold "Bill" Coder, Clifford Coder and Bette Eggerichs; and
