SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of James P. Kennedy of Lake in the Hills, 
4who passed away on March 6, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Kennedy was born in Chicago to Jerome and 
6Catherine Kennedy on March 2, 1955; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, James Kennedy was a retired Senior Police Sergeant 
8with the Elk Grove Police Department; he was also a retired 
9security officer with the Elk Grove Park District; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, James Kennedy served as a Village Trustee for Lake 
11In The Hills and as Chairman of the Civilian Operating Board of 
12Valley Hi Nursing Home; he also served on the McHenry County 
13Board; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, James Kennedy was a member of the Knights of 
15Columbus; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, James Kennedy was the beloved husband of Lynnette 
17(Markendorf); the loving father of Paul (Aiza) Kennedy, Stephen 
18(Jessica) Kennedy, and Elizabeth (Michael) Volrath; the dear 
19brother of Daniel (the late Patricia) Kennedy, Barbara 
20(Jeffery) Payne, Michael (Andrea) Kennedy, and Kathleen Kras;

1and the fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, 
2be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5James P. Kennedy, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to  the family of  James Kennedy as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
