SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Helen I. Clark of Gurnee, who passed away 
4on April 11, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Helen Clark was born in Cloquet, Minnesota to 
6Samuel and Lillian Harju on December 27, 1923; her family moved 
7to Waukegan, and she graduated from Waukegan High School and 
8later from business college; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Helen Clark worked at Abbotts for many years; 
10after raising her children, she worked at SEDOL; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Helen Clark was an active charter member of 
12Wildwood Presbyterian Church; she was also a member of Eastern 
13Star, the American Legion, the Farm Bureau, and the Home 
14Extension; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Helen Clark was preceded in death by her parents; 
16her husband, John; and her brother, Ray; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Helen Clark is survived by her children, Doug, 
18Terry, and Jeff; and her several nieces and nephews; therefore, 
19be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Helen I. Clark and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Helen Clark as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
