| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Duey Jordan Skinner of Jerseyville, who |
| 4 | | passed away on March 26, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Duey Skinner was born in Alton to Duey Duane and |
| 6 | | Kimberly Charmaine (Dunham) Skinner on September 19, 1988; he |
| 7 | | attended Jerseyville schools and graduated from Jersey |
| 8 | | Community High School in 2007; he furthered his education at |
| 9 | | Lewis & Clark Community College and earned his Bachelor of |
| 10 | | Science in Criminal Justice from Missouri Baptist University; |
| 11 | | he graduated with high honors at both institutions; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Duey Skinner completed an internship with the |
| 13 | | Jersey County Sheriff's Department, where he was a dispatcher |
| 14 | | for them and the 9-1-1 system; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Duey Skinner faced obstacles with determination |
| 16 | | and a heartwarming smile; he addressed adversity with an |
| 17 | | abundant appreciation for life, and he was designated Jersey |
| 18 | | County's Ambassador of Inspiration; he served as a role model |
| 19 | | for many; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Duey Skinner was preceded in death by his |
| 21 | | grandfather, James Dunham; and
