SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John David Mason of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on April 12, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Mason was born in Wooster, Ohio on October
629, 1975; he moved to Woodstock with his family in 1989; he
7graduated from Woodstock High School in 1994; he graduated from
8Winona State University with a degree in criminal justice in
91998; he married Michelle on July 28, 2001 and earned his
10teaching degree in 2003; and
 
11    WHEREAS, John Mason worked at Prairie Ridge High School in
12Crystal Lake, where he taught U.S. History, Sociology, and Law;
13an avid sports fan, he found his calling as a football and
14basketball coach for the Prairie Ridge Wolves; and
 
15    WHEREAS, John Mason's family and friends meant the world to
16him; and
 
17    WHEREAS, John Mason was preceded in death by his
18grandmothers, Florence Beyer and Almera Mason; and
 
19    WHEREAS, John Mason is survived by his wife, Michelle; his
20son, Zachary Mason; his daughter, Natalie Mason; his mother,

1Roberta Mason; his father and stepmother, Walter and Karen
2Mason; his sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie Mason-Dycha
3and Thomas Dycha; his nieces, Kaylee and Riley Dycha, and
4Hadley Way; his nephews, Peyton Dycha, Samuel Way, and Dillion
5Beighton; his mother-in-law, Barbara Lellig; his
6father-in-law, Robert Beighton; and his brothers-in-law and
7sisters-in-law, Robert and Gwyn Beighton and Isaac and
8Christine Way; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11John David Mason and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of John Mason as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
