| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Tyler A. Lumar, who passed away on April |
| 4 | | 18, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tyler Lumar, affectionately known as "Lumar |
| 6 | | Lumar," was born in Oak Park to Lisa Alcorn and Wilber Lumar |
| 7 | | Jr. on February 13, 1994; he attended Allen Elementary School |
| 8 | | in Aurora, where he excelled in signing and acting in school |
| 9 | | plays and later became class president; he then attended |
| 10 | | Cowherd Junior High School, where he was an honor roll student |
| 11 | | and excelled in math; he graduated from Oak Park River Forest |
| 12 | | on June 10, 2012, where he was a member of the football team; |
| 13 | | and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Tyler Lumar committed to his faith at Family Faith |
| 15 | | Church in Aurora; he also attended Judson Baptist Church in Oak |
| 16 | | Park, where he participated in many youth programs; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Tyler Lumar enjoyed cooking for his family and |
| 18 | | friends, playing the piano, writing rap music, and |
| 19 | | impersonating Michael Jackson at family gatherings; he was a |
| 20 | | caring, devoted, and loving father and a warm-hearted young man |
| 21 | | who dearly loved his family and friends; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Tyler Lumar was preceded in death by his |
| 2 | | grandfathers, John Alcorn Sr. and Wilber Lumar Sr.; and

| 3 | | WHEREAS, Tyler Lumar is survived by his parents; his |
| 4 | | daughter, Savannah Marie Lumar; his soulmate, Casey Tencate; |
| 5 | | his sisters, Paige, Morgane, and Cydni; his grandparents, Linda |
| 6 | | and David Augustus and Lydia Lumar; his aunts, Rhonda (Harold) |
| 7 | | Alcorn-Johnson, Samantha (Fred) Lumar-Turner, and Anna (Ron) |
| 8 | | Lumar-Williams; his uncles, Denise Alcorn, John (Felicia) |
| 9 | | Alcorn Jr., Darren (Joanna) Lumar, and Ratiford Lumar; his |
| 10 | | godmother, Rosemary Malone; his extended Tencate family, |
| 11 | | Casey's father, Phil (Lidia), Casey's mother, Therese, Emma, |
| 12 | | Taylor (Patrick), and Caitlin (Kyle) Bias; and his many |
| 13 | | great-aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
| 15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 16 | | Tyler A. Lumar and extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 17 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 18 | | further

| 19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 20 | | presented to the family of Tyler Lumar as an expression of our |
| 21 | | deepest sympathy.
