| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Alan J. Hoffman of Moline, who passed |
| 4 | | away on April 30, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Alan Hoffman was born in Davenport to John and |
| 6 | | Edith Hauser Hoffman on June 24, 1937; he earned his bachelor's |
| 7 | | degree from Western Illinois University; he married Peggy |
| 8 | | Garrison in Moline on May 26, 1990; he served in the United |
| 9 | | States Army; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Alan Hoffman worked as a manager at Radio Shack |
| 11 | | and as a park ranger in California during the early 1960s; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Alan Hoffman enjoyed working in the yard, being |
| 13 | | outside, watching birds and wildlife, and listening to music |
| 14 | | from the 1960s; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Alan Hoffman was preceded in death by his parents |
| 16 | | and his wife, Peggy; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Alan Hoffman is survived by his brothers, David |
| 18 | | (Loretta) Hoffman and Jack (Carita) Hoffman; his stepchildren, |
| 19 | | Jim and Jeff Swank; his nieces and nephews; and his many |
| 20 | | great-nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
