| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Willard Karr "Bill" Davidson, formerly of |
| 4 | | Gurnee, who passed away on April 20, 2018; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Davidson was born in Saginaw, Michigan; he |
| 6 | | served in the United States Navy, retiring as a chief petty |
| 7 | | officer; he
served on board ships during the Cuban Missile |
| 8 | | Crisis, the Congo wars, and the Vietnam War; much of his
career |
| 9 | | was spent attached to destroyer ships stationed in San Diego |
| 10 | | and Guam, with shore duty assignments in San
Bernardino, |
| 11 | | California and Great Lakes; he graduated from Southern Illinois |
| 12 | | University; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bill Davidson taught electronics at Lake County |
| 14 | | College; he then joined Allstate and founded the Davidson |
| 15 | | Agency in Lake County; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Bill Davidson served as president of
the Lake |
| 17 | | County Association of Life Underwriters and held leadership |
| 18 | | roles within the National Association of
Insurance and |
| 19 | | Financial Advisors Lake County Chapter; he was known for his |
| 20 | | quick wit and magnetic personality; he retired to Fort Myers, |
| 21 | | Florida and loved fishing, boating, and traveling; and
