SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Donald E. "Donnie" Hansen Sr. of 
4Woodstock, who passed away on May 6, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donnie Hansen Sr. opened Don Hansen's Alignment & 
6Auto Service repair shop in McHenry approximately 35 years ago; 
7cars were all he knew, and he was known throughout the 
8community as a "hot rod builder"; he was fair and honest, and 
9it was not uncommon for him to lend a hand, spare some free 
10repair time, and sometimes donate a vehicle to someone in need; 
11he was not concerned with money, but rather making sure people 
12were safe; his shop was a gathering place, where men would meet 
13after work to talk about life; and
  
 

  
14    WHEREAS, Donnie Hansen Sr. enjoyed hunting and fishing with 
15his children and grandchildren; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Donnie Hansen Sr. is survived by his wife, Judy; 
17his son, Donnie Jr.; his daughter, Tracy; his three 
18grandchildren; and his sister, Sally Joosten; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
21Donald E. "Donnie" Hansen Sr. and extend our sincere

1condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
2him; and be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Donnie Hansen Sr. as an expression
