SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Linda S. Clark, who passed away on May 6,
42018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Linda Clark was born in McHenry on May 19, 1962
6and lived most of her life in the western suburbs; she
7graduated from Johnsburg High School in 1981 and attended the
8University of St. Francis, where she received a bachelor's
9degree in social work; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Linda Clark worked for the Cintas Fire Protection
11(formerly Aurora Tri-State) for 32 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Linda Clark was a frequent volunteer at Hesed
13House, feeding the homeless, as well as a companion for the
14elderly; she served on several committees at St. Katharine
15Drexel and as a religious education teacher; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Linda Clark enjoyed taking long walks with the
17family dog, reading, and spending time with her family at their
18lake house in Iowa; one of her greatest joys was watching her
19husband coach his softball players, who lovingly called her
20"Mrs. Coach"; her greatest pride was her daughter, with whom
21she was constantly laughing, as best friends do; and

1    WHEREAS, Linda Clark was preceded in death by her father,
2Ted Schaefer, and her brothers, Ron and Dan Schaefer; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Linda Clark is survived by her husband, Perry; her
4daughter, Abbey Buckels (Alex); her mother, Donna Schaefer; her
5brothers, Chuck Schaefer (Kim) and Randy Schaefer (Joan); her
6sister, Karen S. Hobbs (Darryl); and six nieces and nephews;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Linda S. Clark, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Linda Clark as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
