SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Ellen Jane (Meinhardt) Amann of Crystal 
4Lake, who passed away on May 15, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ellen Amann was born in Jamaica, New York to Otto 
6and  Phyllis (Rittmuller) Meinhardt on May 8, 1941; she married 
7George Amann at Our Lady of Poland Catholic Church in 
8Southampton, New York in March of 1962; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Ellen Amann volunteered at Little Christopher's 
10Thrift Shop and with the Friends of Shapiro Developmental 
11Center (KAMR) for several years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Ellen Amann was a devoted parishioner of Saint 
13Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake; she enjoyed 
14gardening, crafting, reading, and cooking; she was a fierce 
15advocate for her son, Robert, and for others with developmental 
16disabilities; she was a loving wife and mother; and
  
 
  
17    WHEREAS, Ellen Amann is survived by her husband, George; 
18her children, Lori Amann-Chetcuti and her husband Steven 
19Chetcuti, Kenneth (Sondra) Amann, Lisa (Jeffrey) Bird, and 
20Robert Amann; her grandchildren, Larisa, Kathryn, and Juliana 
21Chetcuti, Sarah, David, Kevin, and Kira Amann, and Andrew and

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Ellen Jane (Meinhardt) Amann and extend our sincere condolences 
5to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be 
6it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Ellen Amann as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
