| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of John J. Horeled of Crystal Lake, who |
| 4 | | passed away on May 3, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, John Horeled was born in Harvard to Joseph and |
| 6 | | Helen (Keeley) Horeled on November 1, 1951; he graduated from |
| 7 | | Marion Central High School in 1969 and the University of Notre |
| 8 | | Dame with a degree in economics in 1973; he then graduated from |
| 9 | | the Valparaiso University School of Law in 1976; he married |
| 10 | | Heather McLeod on June 11, 1977; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, John Horeled practiced law in McHenry County for |
| 12 | | over 42 years; he was involved in the Illinois State Bar |
| 13 | | Association for 40 years and with several section councils and |
| 14 | | task forces; and |
| 15 | | WHEREAS, John Horeled was a former director of the Hebron |
| 16 | | State Bank and the Illinois Guardianship Association; he was a |
| 17 | | former vestry member and senior warden of St. Mary's Episcopal |
| 18 | | Church in Crystal Lake; he was a past president of the Notre |
| 19 | | Dame Club of McHenry County, the YMCA of McHenry County, the |
| 20 | | Crystal Lake Kiwanis, and was the founding president of the |
| 21 | | McHenry County Community Foundation; he was a proud member of |
| 22 | | the Union League Club of Chicago and the Bohemian Lawyers |
