SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Cecil "Casey" F. Casey of Andalusia, who
4passed away on July 10, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Cecil Casey was born in Springfield to Donald and
6Mary Ellen Pile Casey on December 22, 1939; he graduated from
7Reynolds High School in 1958; following high school, he served
8in the United States Air Force; he married Mary Ann Mull in
9Bettendorf on September 11, 1970; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Cecil Casey worked at Williams, White & Company in
11Moline; he retired from the Rock Island Arsenal, where he
12worked for many years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Cecil Casey loved to tell stories, drive his
14truck, and talk on the CB Radio; he had a fondness for
15cheeseburgers from McDonald's; he enjoyed woodworking and
16making Pinewood Derby cars with his grandchildren; he liked to
17dance and enjoyed going to the Girl Scout father-daughter
18dances with his granddaughter; in his earlier years, he enjoyed
19riding his dirt bike and going to dirk bike rallies; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Cecil Casey was preceded in death by his parents
21and his son-in-law, Scott Mallinger; and

1    WHEREAS, Cecil Casey is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; his
2daughter, Sara Casey and her children, Kayla (Robert) Purdy and
3Tyler Case; Scottie and Anna Chaplin, and Levi (Brittany)
4Mallinger; and his great-grandchildren, Kayden "Little Buddy"
5and R.J. Purdy; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Cecil "Casey" F. Casey and extend our sincere condolences to
9his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Cecil Casey as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
