SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Charles J. Schweiss of Coal Valley, who 
4passed away on July 1, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Schweiss was born in Rock Island to Edward 
6and Grace Williams Schweiss on May 24, 1926; he graduated from 
7Rock Island High School and served in the United States Army 
8during World War II; he married Helen Horner in 1950; she 
9preceded him in death, and he married Mary Ann Pannell Strader 
10in 2005; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Charles Schweiss worked for the Container 
12Corporation of America for 29 years; at the time of his 
13retirement, he was the Personnel Director; and
  
 

  
14    WHEREAS, Charles Schweiss is survived by his wife, Mary 
15Ann; his children, Kent Schweiss and Sandra Sentman; his many 
16grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his stepdaughter, Vicky 
17McKinley; and his brothers, Edward and Walter Schweiss; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
21Charles J. Schweiss and extend our sincere condolences to his

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
2further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Charles Schweiss as an expression of 
5our deepest sympathy.
