SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert C. "Bob" Kast of Silvis, who 
4passed away on July 23, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Kast was born in Livermore, California on June 
629, 1943; he married Twilight Eckert in Rock Island on May 24, 
71976; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Bob Kast retired as a sergeant major with the U.S. 
9Army on January 31, 1982 after 22 years; he worked for  20 years 
10as a postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring on 
11December 24, 2006; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Bob Kast enjoyed fishing, woodworking, watching 
13football and NASCAR, and attending antique car shows; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Bob Kast was preceded in death by his father, 
15Robert D. Kast, and a sister; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Bob Kast is survived by his wife, Twilight; his 
17son, Robert B. (Kim) Kast; and his grandchildren, Robert Alex 
18Kast, Amber Lynn Kast, and Lindsay Samantha Kast; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Robert C. "Bob" Kast, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Bob Kast as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
