2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Anthony "Tony" Pintozzi Sr. of McHenry, |
4 | | who passed away on August 6, 2018; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi was born to Charles and Maria |
6 | | (Meccia) Pintozzi on February 24, 1931; he attended St. Rita of |
7 | | Cascia High School and married Maureen Etten at St. Nicholas of |
8 | | Tolentine in Chicago
on November 29, 1952; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi was the founder of Pintz & Co., |
10 | | which later became International Decorators, Inc.; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi was chairman of the Northern |
12 | | Illinois Medical Board, president of the Painting & Decorating |
13 | | Contractors Association of Northern Illinois, co-founder of |
14 | | the Northern Illinois Painting & Drywall Institute, chairman of |
15 | | the Painters District Council 30 Pension Fund, secretary of the |
16 | | Painters District Council 30 Health & Welfare Fund, and |
17 | | co-founder of the Finishing Contractors Association of |
18 | | Illinois; he served on the St. Patrick/Montini Catholic School |
19 | | Commission and was a St. Patrick Church lector; he was a member |
20 | | of the McHenry County Regional School Board and the city of |
21 | | McHenry Police Commissioner; he was also involved with Kiwanis, |
22 | | a member of the McHenry Country Club, and coached little |

2 | | WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi was dedicated to his Catholic faith |
3 | | and his family and was extremely proud of his Italian heritage; |
4 | | he enjoyed golf, spending time with his family at the cabin on |
5 | | Plum Lake in the Northwoods, and driving around town in his |
6 | | white car enjoying his pipe; and
|
7 | | WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi was preceded in death by his |
8 | | parents; his in-laws, Joseph and Mary Etten; and his |
9 | | sister-in-law, Marcella (Wayne) Dixon; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi is survived by his wife of 65 years, |
11 | | Maureen; his children, Mary (Jon) Meyer, Debbie (Michael) |
12 | | Cajthaml, Donna (Buzz) Frett, Maureen (Mike) Pabst, Annette |
13 | | (Steve) Cuda, Cathy (Tom) Campbell, Patti (Bill) Preston, and |
14 | | Butch (Missy) Pintozzi; his grandchildren, Stephanie (Jovan) |
15 | | Strumberger, Bryan (Joy Anna) Meyer, Michael (Ashley) |
16 | | Cajthaml, Christopher Frett, Jaci (Matt) Hartman, Tom (Abbey) |
17 | | Pabst, Dan (Becky) Pabst, Elizabeth (Jake) Smith, Maria (Kevin) |
18 | | Hill, Katie Cuda, Jeff Campbell, Matt (Becca) Campbell, |
19 | | Christine Campbell, Sara (Pat) McDonald, Marguerite Preston, |

3 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
4 | | Anthony "Tony" Pintozzi Sr., and extend our sincere condolences |
5 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be |
6 | | it further

7 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
8 | | presented to the family of Tony Pintozzi as an expression of |
9 | | our deepest sympathy.
