SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Glenn Stangland of Wheeling, who passed 
4away on August 21, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Glenn Stangland was born in Chicago to Kenneth and 
6Jean (McGrath) Stangland on November 17, 1947; he graduated 
7from the pharmacy school at the University of Illinois at 
8Chicago; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Glenn Stangland owned and operated independent 
10neighborhood pharmacies for 30 years; he finished his career at 
11Osco Drug in Mundelein; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Glenn Stangland was a man of science and a beloved 
13paterfamilias; he enjoyed traveling to Walt Disney World with 
14his family, cheering on his beloved White Sox, watching movies, 
15and playing the video game Halo; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Glenn Stangland was preceded in death by his 
17parents; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Glenn Stangland is survived by his wife of 42 
19years, Bonnie; his children, Holly, Lisa, and Sean (Lisa 
20Draski) Stangland; his brother, James (Julie) Stangland; and

1his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Glenn Stangland and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Glenn Stangland as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
