SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Rabbi Sam Fraint, who passed away on 
4October 6, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Rabbi Fraint was the longtime spiritual leader and 
6rabbi emeritus of Moriah Congregation
in Deerfield; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, During Rabbi Fraint's 30-year tenure, the 
8congregation became a vibrant and prominent
Chicago-area 
9Jewish institution; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Rabbi Fraint was an inspiring teacher of Torah and 
11a
strong defender of Israel and the Jewish people; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, Rabbi Fraint was the loving and devoted husband of 
13Deena (Segal); the adoring father of Hannah, Zeke (Laura), and 
14Avram (Jodi); the proud Zaydee of Sophia Ruth; the dear brother 
15of Eric (Kathy); the treasured brother-in-law of Eric (Karen) 
16Segal and Danny Segal (Susan Kitzen); the devoted uncle of 
17numerous nieces and nephews; the dear friend of many; and the 
18beloved and respected Rabbi of the Moriah Congregation; 
19therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Rabbi Sam Fraint and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Rabbi Fraint as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
