SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Keith Jerome Irwin of Illinois City, who 
4passed away on October 3, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Keith Irwin was born in New Boston to Clyde and 
6Bernice (Spickler) Irwin on May 25, 1926; he served his county 
7in the United States Navy during World War II and married Alita 
8Elaine Doak in Aledo on July 25, 1946; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Keith Irwin farmed his entire life and was a 
10pioneer in conservation agriculture; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Keith Irwin was a member of the Pine Bluff United 
12Methodist Church, American Legion Post 1166, and a charter 
13member of the Illinois City Fur, Fin and Feather Conservation 
14Club; he enjoyed hunting and trapping; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Keith Irwin was preceded in death by his parents; 
16his wife of 70 years, Elaine; and his mother-in-law and 
17father-in-law; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Keith Irwin is survived by his children, Vicki 
19(Larry) Seitz, Terry (Marshall) Ayers, and Virgil (Beth) Irwin; 
20nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; therefore, be

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Keith Jerome Irwin and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Keith Irwin as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
