2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Marianne
Hall who passed away on August |
4 | | 26, 2018 at the age of 82; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was born June 11, 1936, the daughter |
6 | | of Edward and Helen (Lang) Ryan; she married William Hall, and |
7 | | together they raised nine children; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was a dedicated employee of 20 years |
9 | | at Avenue/US Bank in Oak
Park; she was also a devoted |
10 | | parishioner of Ascension Catholic Church for over 60 years and |
11 | | an ardent supporter of
Misericordia and the Oak Park Education |
12 | | Foundation; and |
13 | | WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was the center and heart of a large |
14 | | and close-knit family, who value
her life lessons about working |
15 | | hard, staying strong, and having fun; she showed a fierce
|
16 | | dedication to her family, community, and faith and was also a |
17 | | dear friend and relative to many; in addition to taking care of |
18 | | her own family, she also provided daycare for neighborhood
|
19 | | families; and |
20 | | WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was a great example of how to keep |
21 | | cool in times of trouble; she
provided an example of "what a |

1 | | great lady with an even greater smile and spirit" could be; |
2 | | neighbors were glad to have lived down the street from her and |
3 | | enjoyed the "spill-over of
fun"; and

4 | | WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was preceded in death by her parents |
5 | | and her beloved husband,
Bill, and daughter, Andrea; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Marianne Hall was the loving mother of Mary Jo |
7 | | (Stephen) Schuler, Jeanne (Mark)
List, Norine (John) Mullins, |
8 | | Holly Olis, Susan (David) Mika, Katie (John) Cook, Billy Hall, |
9 | | and
Kerry (Ron) Baer, the doting "Nana" of 19 grandchildren, |
10 | | Allyson, Jake, and
James Baer, Courtney and Kelly Cook, Amanda |
11 | | List, Niall McMahon, Sarah, Ellen, and Alex

16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
17 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
18 | | Marianne Hall and extend our sincere condolences to her family, |
19 | | friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

20 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
21 | | presented to the family of Marianne Hall as an expression of |
22 | | our deepest sympathy.
