SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Michael L. "Mike" Ryon of Peoria, who 
4passed away on November 20, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Mike Ryon was born in Peoria to William A. and 
6Mary C. (Martin) Ryon on February 16, 1957; he earned his 
7master's degree in education from Illinois State University; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Mike Ryon was an educator in the Peoria Public 
10Schools for over 25 years; most recently, he worked at the 
11Peoria Alternative School; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Mike Ryon was an avid collector of antiques, a 
13gardener, a student of history, and a dog lover; he was a 
14gentle soul who enjoyed his friends and family and will be 
15especially missed by his nieces and nephews; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Mike Ryon was preceded in death by his parents and 
17his brother, David Ryon; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Mike Ryon is survived by his brothers, Timothy 
19(Nancy) Ryon and Tom (Mary) Ryon; his sister-in-law, Marialice 
20Ryon; and his eight nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Michael L."Mike"  Ryon and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Mike Ryon as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
