| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and |
| 5 | | Duties Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
| 6 | | amended by adding Section 2310-431 as follows:
|
| 7 | | (20 ILCS 2310/2310-431 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 2310-431. Women's health clinics. The Department |
| 9 | | shall establish women's health clinics throughout the State to |
| 10 | | provide affordable health care for women. The services provided |
| 11 | | at the women's health clinics shall be offered at an affordable |
| 12 | | price and shall include, but not be limited to, the following: |
| 13 | | (1) annual women's health examinations, including Pap |
| 14 | | tests and breast examinations; |
| 15 | | (2) pregnancy confirmation services; |
| 16 | | (3) prenatal care, including ultrasound examinations; |
| 17 | | (4) labor and delivery services provided by an |
| 18 | | obstetrician; |
| 19 | | (5) postpartum care and support; |
| 20 | | (6) family planning examinations and birth control |
| 21 | | services; |
| 22 | | (7) examinations, care, and prescriptions for sexually |
| 23 | | transmitted diseases and infections; |
