| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2549 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 3, immediately below line 26, by inserting the |
| 4 | | following: |
| 5 | | "(2.5) developing a before-school, in-school, or |
| 6 | | after-school drama therapy program that is designed for |
| 7 | | vulnerable youth with histories of exposure to familial and |
| 8 | | community violence, school bullying, intolerance or hate |
| 9 | | crimes, maltreatment or neglect, disrupted caregiving, or |
| 10 | | any other life adversities and that focuses on the core |
| 11 | | components of complex trauma intervention, including, but |
| 12 | | not limited to, a student's safety, self-regulation, |
| 13 | | healthy attachments, discovery and development of his or |
| 14 | | her identity, self-worth, esteem, and competency; |
| 15 | | (2.7) developing a school model for students in |
| 16 | | kindergarten through grade 6 that integrates an |
| 17 | | identity-affirming pedagogy with a rigorous, intentional |
