| 1 | | AN ACT concerning regulation.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law of |
| 5 | | the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding |
| 6 | | Section 2105-80 as follows:
|
| 7 | | (20 ILCS 2105/2105-80 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 2105-80. Optometric designated investigator. The |
| 9 | | Department shall employ an investigator who is required to |
| 10 | | devote at least 50% of his or her time to the investigation of |
| 11 | | complaints that allege a violation of the Illinois Optometric |
| 12 | | Practice Act of 1987 or its rules.
