2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3053 as follows:
 


3on page 35, by replacing lines 6 and 7 with the following:
4        "(1) The Lieutenant Governor or his or her appointee."; 
5    and



 
6on page 37, by replacing lines 11 through 14 with the 
7following:
 
8"No later than 60 days after the effective date of this 
9amendatory Act of the 101st General Assembly, the Commission 
10must hold its first meeting, on a date determined by the State 
11Board, and must select a chairperson from among the members of 
12the Commission. After its first meeting, the Commission must 
13meet at the call of the chairperson and must hold public 
14hearings"; and
