| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 6 | (110 ILCS 305/1d) (from Ch. 144, par. 22d)
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 7 | Sec. 1d. Child care services.
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 10 | Care Act of 1969.
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 11 | (b) The Board may contract for the provision of child care | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 12 | services for its

| 13 | of child care services on campus for its students. The Board | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 14 | may, in accordance with established rules, allow day care
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 15 | centers to operate in State-owned or leased facilities. Such | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 16 | day care centers
shall be primarily for use by State employees
| 17 | or students of the university but use by

| 3 | employees as well as a determination of the availability of | ||||||
| 4 | child
care services through other State agencies, or in the
| 5 | community. The Board may
also require submission of a
| 6 | feasibility, design, and implementation plan, that

Board shall propose rules setting forth
| 8 | the standards and criteria,
including need and feasibility, for
| 9 | determining if on-site September child care

each | ||||||
| 22 | employee obtaining child care services under this Section shall | ||||||

| 1 | child care services.
| ||||||
| 2 | (c) Prior to contracting for child care services for its | ||||||
| 3 | employees, the Board shall determine
a need for child care | ||||||
| 4 | services. Proof of need may include a survey of
University | ||||||
| 5 | employees as well as a determination of the availability of | ||||||
| 6 | child
care services through other State agencies, or in the
| 7 | community. The Board may
also require submission of a
| 8 | feasibility, design, and implementation plan that
takes into | ||||||
| 9 | consideration similar needs and services for employees of other | ||||||
| 10 | State
universities.
| ||||||
| 11 | (d) The Board shall have the sole responsibility for | ||||||
| 12 | choosing the successful
bidder and overseeing the operation of
| 13 | its child care service program within
the guidelines | ||||||
| 14 | established by the Board. The Board shall promulgate rules | ||||||
| 15 | under

| 16 | specific standards to
be used in the selection of a vendor of
| 17 | child care services.
| ||||||
| 18 | The contract shall provide for the establishment of or | ||||||

Children and Family Services in defining
| 2 | standards for child care service
centers established pursuant
| 3 | to this Section to ensure compliance with the
