Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that in addition to a current or retired law enforcement officer who is authorized by law, a person who is the holder of a valid concealed carry license issued under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act is exempt from the provisions of the Code that prohibit the possession of those firearms.

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning wildlife.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 | | 3.4b as follows: |
| 6 | | (520 ILCS 5/3.4b) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3.4b. Concealed firearm exemption. A current or |
| 8 | | retired law enforcement officer authorized by law to possess a |
| 9 | | concealed firearm, or a person who is the holder of a valid |
| 10 | | concealed carry license issued under the Firearm Concealed |
| 11 | | Carry Act, shall be exempt from the provisions of this Code |
| 12 | | prohibiting possession of those firearms. However, nothing in |
| 13 | | this Section authorizes the use of those firearms except as |
| 14 | | authorized by law.
