HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Division 96 of the 
4Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and
Trainmen as they 
5celebrate the 150 anniversary of their founding; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The charter for Division 96 was signed in Chicago 
7on January 16, 1869; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Division 96 is an extraordinary organization 
9whose membership and
leadership still work as hard today as 
10they did in 1869; and
  
 
  
11    WHEREAS, Division 96's active and retired members have 
12devoted their lives to a
great public service industry, 
13providing both public transportation and moving
freight; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Members of Division 96 have maintained a 
15distinguished record of
service for over 150 years; therefore, 
16be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
18HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
19we congratulate Division 96 of the Brotherhood of Locomotive 
20Engineers and
Trainmen as they celebrate the 150 anniversary of

1their founding, and we wish them many more successful years; 
2and be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to Division 96 as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
