HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Maria Delgado on being a 
4finalist for the hotel industry's "Stars of the Industry 
5Award"; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Maria Delgado is a room attendant at the Hyatt 
7Regency O'Hare in Rosemont and
was a finalist in the North Star 
8Award
category at the American Hotel & Lodging
Association's 
9Stars of the Industry Awards on January 27, 2019; she was one 
10of the top three finalists to be recognized from over 300 
11nominations from all sections of the industry and across the 
12country; the award is given to a non-management level associate 
13who makes a
significant difference day in and day out in the 
14hospitality business; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Prior to her recent honor, Maria Delgado received 
16the 2017 Illinois Housekeeping
Employee of the Year at the 
17Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association Stars of the Industry 
18State Awards in December
2017; and
  
 

  
19    WHEREAS, Maria Delgado has an impeccable work ethic and 
20treats her hotel as her home and coworkers
as her family; she 
21has not missed a day of work in her 32 years of
employment with 
22Hyatt and is truly the heart of Hyatt; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate Maria Delgado of Chicago on being a finalist 
4for the hotel industry's "Stars of the Industry Award", and we 
5wish her many more successful years; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Maria Delgado as a symbol of our respect and 
8esteem.
