| 8 | | families, parishioners, and community members; through these |
| 9 | | events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides |
| 10 | | to young people and its contributions to churches, communities, |
| 11 | | and the nation; and

| 12 | | WHEREAS, The theme for National Catholic Schools Week 2019 |
| 13 | | was "Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed"; the theme |
| 14 | | encompasses the core values that can be found in Catholic |
| 15 | | schools across the country; and

| 16 | | WHEREAS, Catholic Schools in Illinois are recognized for |
| 17 | | their academic excellence and their ability to provide students |
| 18 | | with an exceptional scholastic experience; In Illinois, |
| 19 | | Catholic schools like St. Philip Neri instill the core values |
| 20 | | of mercy, integrity, and service that results in graduates |
| 21 | | being well prepared for secondary education and lifelong |
| 22 | | learning; and
