| 6 | | rate, bladder function, and digestion; and

| 7 | | WHEREAS, Having formerly been called Shy-Drager Syndrome, |
| 8 | | MSA shares similar symptoms of
Parkinson's disease, such as |
| 9 | | slowness of movement, muscle rigidity, and poor balance; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, People who have MSA also frequently suffer from |
| 11 | | other involuntary functions of the
body, including urinary and |
| 12 | | bowel dysfunction, sweating abnormalities, sleep disorders,
|
| 13 | | difficulty controlling blood pressure, sexual dysfunction, |
| 14 | | cardiovascular problems, and
psychiatric disturbances; and |
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Some people are never accurately diagnosed with |
| 16 | | MSA due to its likeness to
Parkinson's disease; and |
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Though the progression of MSA varies from person |
| 18 | | to person, the condition never
goes into remission and is a |
| 19 | | progressive condition that in due course will lead to death; |
| 20 | | and
