| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Carrie Fullerton, | ||||||
| 4 | Executive Director of the Bloomingdale Park District, on | ||||||
| 5 | receiving the Illinois Association of Park Districts' (IAPD) | ||||||
| 6 | Honored Professional Award; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Carrie Fullerton has served IAPD and the Illinois | ||||||
| 8 | Parks & Recreation Association in many capacities, including as | ||||||
| 9 | board member, board chair, board secretary, continuing | ||||||
| 10 | education chair, finance committee member, and legislative | ||||||
| 11 | breakfast coordinator; since 1997, she has presented many | ||||||
| 12 | conference sessions; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Carrie Fullerton attended the University of | ||||||
| 14 | Illinois and has served on the Department of Leisure Studies | ||||||
| 15 | Advisory Board and Graduate Advisory Committee; presently, she | ||||||
| 16 | is a member of the Western DuPage Special Recreation | ||||||
| 17 | Association Board of Directors; at the national level, she has | ||||||
| 18 | chaired the national Recreation & Park Association National | ||||||
| 19 | Revenue School and has spoken at several park and recreation | ||||||
| 20 | conference sessions, most recently in Colorado, Georgia, and | ||||||
| 21 | Alabama; and
| ||||||
| 22 | WHEREAS, Carrie Fullerton has published numerous articles, | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | and, in 2002, received the Best Marketing Article of the Year | ||||||
| 2 | Award from IP&R Magazine; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Carrie Fullerton has received many honors, | ||||||
| 4 | including the University of Illinois's Joseph Bannon | ||||||
| 5 | Practitioner Award and the American Academy of Park & | ||||||
| 6 | Recreation Administration's Young Professional Award; she was | ||||||
| 7 | named Outstanding Professional of the Year by the NRPA Great | ||||||
| 8 | Lakes Region, Professional of the Year by both IPRA and | ||||||
| 9 | Facility Management Sections, and was named one of the "Power | ||||||
| 10 | 25" leaders in the Leisure Industry by Aquatics International; | ||||||
| 11 | she was a member of the American Academy for Park and | ||||||
| 12 | Recreation Administration; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Besides being a consummate professional, Carrie | ||||||
| 14 | Fullerton is a loyal employee, a trusted friend, and a loving | ||||||
| 15 | and caring wife and mother; she and her husband, Paul, have | ||||||
| 16 | four children; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 18 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 19 | we congratulate Carrie Fullerton on receiving the Illinois | ||||||
| 20 | Association of Park District's Honored Professional Award, and | ||||||
| 21 | we wish her the best in her future endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 22 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
