| 1 | | HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are continually taxed |
| 3 | | more and more each year; and
|
| 4 | | WHEREAS, These taxes make Illinois inhospitable to both |
| 5 | | citizens and businesses alike; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Based on the nature of their continuous need, a |
| 7 | | sales tax on haircuts and personal
grooming services would |
| 8 | | accumulate to a significant added expense on top of the already |
| 9 | | high
cost of living; therefore, be it
|
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 11 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 12 | | we are opposed to the implementation of any sales tax on |
| 13 | | barbershops, hair stylists, and grooming services in 2019
and |
| 14 | | beyond; and be it further
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be |
| 16 | | delivered to each member of the Illinois
General Assembly.
