| 4 | | the 2018-19 Illinois High School Association's (IHSA) Official |
| 5 | | of the Year for boys basketball; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, To be considered for the honor of Official of the |
| 7 | | Year, an official must first be
nominated by an Officials |
| 8 | | Association recognized by the IHSA; IHSA staff members then |
| 9 | | vote
on the winners based on factors such as character, skill |
| 10 | | as an official, and levels worked in the
IHSA State Series; 22 |
| 11 | | Officials of the Year are selected in various sports; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Marc Parker is a lifelong resident of the |
| 13 | | Collinsville area; he graduated from Collinsville High School |
| 14 | | in 1983, where he was a three-sport athlete; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Marc Parker attended Southern Illinois University |
| 16 | | Edwardsville, where he participated in their men's
basketball |
| 17 | | and tennis programs; after graduating, he served as a volunteer |
| 18 | | basketball coach at
Collinsville High School from 1990 to 1994 |
| 19 | | and Good Shepherd Grade School in Collinsville from
2000 to |
| 20 | | 2010; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Marc Parker has been a licensed high school |
