| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Hee Jung Choi on the |
| 4 | | occasion of her 104th birthday on February 7, 2019; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Hee Jung Choi immigrated to the United States in |
| 6 | | 1978 at the age of 63 and has
lived in Chicago ever since; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Hee Jung Choi is a resident
of HANA Center's |
| 8 | | Moogoong Terrace; the HANA Center was founded in February 2017 |
| 9 | | as a merger between the Korean-American Community Services |
| 10 | | (KACS), which was established in 1972, and the Korean American |
| 11 | | Resource & Cultural Center, which was established in 1995; they |
| 12 | | respond to the needs
of Korean-American and other immigrant |
| 13 | | groups and celebrate their cultural heritage; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Hee Jung Choi is an active member of Gloria Dei |
| 15 | | Presbyterian Church; she enjoys singing, acting, storytelling, |
| 16 | | and
exercising regularly; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Hee Jung Choi is a mother of three, grandmother of |
| 18 | | six, and great-grandmother of six; therefore, be it
|
