HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Joseph "Joe" Donnelly on 
4the occasion of his retirement from the Rosemont School Board 
5after 33 years of service; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Joe Donnelly was appointed to the Rosemont School 
7Board in 1986; he served as a member for three years and as 
8Board President for 30 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Joe Donnelly has overseen building improvements 
10that have maintained a standard of excellence for the 
11betterment of the curriculum; his goal has always been for 
12every student to receive the highest quality of education; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Joe Donnelly has always had the best interests of 
14the community at heart and excelled at balancing those best 
15interests with the resources available through the district; 
16and

  
 
17    WHEREAS, Joe Donnelly moved to Rosemont with his family in 
181984; he volunteered, worked, and raised his family in 
19Rosemont; during his 33 years of service on the Rosemont School 
20Board, he had an impact on the lives of  over 6,000 students, 
21four administrators, and a staff of 50 or more each year;

1working with his fellow School Board members, he made a 
2difference every single day for the children who attended the 
3Rosemont School; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate Joseph "Joe" Donnelly on the occasion of his 
7retirement from the Rosemont School Board after 33 years of 
8service, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors; and 
9be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to Joe Donnelly as an expression of our esteem and 
12respect.
