| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to commend Senorities Bracey on her 21 |
| 4 | | years of service to the children and families of the North |
| 5 | | Kenwood neighborhood of Chicago; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Senorities Bracey is an early childhood education |
| 7 | | teacher and the owner of the early childhood education program |
| 8 | | Tailored Beginnings, which she founded in 1997; she turned a |
| 9 | | dilapidated home in the North Kenwood area on the south side of |
| 10 | | Chicago into a safe space to educate and empower young |
| 11 | | children; nestled in a small corner of the community, Tailored |
| 12 | | Beginnings has become one of the most sought after preschools |
| 13 | | in the City of Chicago; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Senorities Bracey has said the most rewarding part |
| 15 | | of her job is when children independently utilize the skills |
| 16 | | and models that she has taught them and begin to formulate |
| 17 | | their own strategies and opinions; she enjoys unlocking the |
| 18 | | potential of a young mind and watching her students have that |
| 19 | | "aha!" moment; and

| 20 | | WHEREAS, Senorities Bracey is a pillar of the community; |
| 21 | | she teaches children to take ownership of their scholarly minds |
| 22 | | and teaches families to give back to their community by |
