| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of

| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the West | ||||||

Elementary School 7th grade girls basketball | ||||||
| 5 | team, the Lady Wolverines, on winning the 2018-19 Illinois | ||||||
| 6 | Elementary School Association Class 1A State
Championship by | ||||||
| 7 | defeating Wallace Grade School 52 to 20; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, The 7th grade Lady Wolverines ended the regular | ||||||
| 9 | season with a record of 23 wins and zero losses; they went on | ||||||
| 10 | to complete an undefeated season with 29 wins and zero losses; | ||||||
| 11 | and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, The 7th grade Lady Wolverines won the Taylorville | ||||||
| 13 | Tournament Championship and were the 2018 Logan County | ||||||
| 14 | Champions; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, The 7th grade Lady Wolverines are Becca Heitzig, | ||||||
| 16 | Kloe Froebe, Jenna Bowman, Tori Geriets,
Regan Goodey, Alyssa | ||||||
| 17 | Bishop, Alison Turner, Piper Whiteman, Jane

| 21 | WHEREAS, The team managers for the 7th grade Lady | ||||||

| 1 | Wolverines are Addie Farmer, Kendall Long, and

| 2 | WHEREAS, The coaching staff for the 7th grade Lady | ||||||
| 3 | Wolverines are assistant coaches Ashley
Paulus and Cory Farmer | ||||||
| 4 | and Head Coach Kari Froebe; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, The 7th grade Lady Wolverines are
a special group | ||||||
| 6 | of athletes, coached by one of the
best basketball coaches in | ||||||
| 7 | the state, Kari Froebe; in Coach Froebe's tenth
year coaching | ||||||
| 8 | the Lady Wolverines, she has guided her
teams to five state | ||||||
| 9 | championships, a runner-up finish, and one
third place finish; | ||||||
| 10 | therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 12 | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 13 | we congratulate the West Lincoln-Broadwell Elementary School | ||||||
| 14 | 7th grade girls basketball team, the Lady Wolverines, on | ||||||
| 15 | winning the 2018-19 Illinois Elementary School Association | ||||||
| 16 | Class 1A State Championship, and we commend them for their hard | ||||||
| 17 | work on and off the court, their dedicated coaching staff | ||||||
| 18 | leading the team, their perfect season, and their outstanding | ||||||
| 19 | teamwork; and be it further
| ||||||
| 20 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | ||||||
| 21 | presented to each 7th grade Lady Wolverine, their parents, and | ||||||
| 22 | the coaching staff.
