HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Robert F. 
4"Bobby" Melko of Des Plaines, who passed away on October 9, 
52018; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Bobby Melko was born on May 11, 1956; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Bobby Melko was the proud owner of Bishop 
8Plumbing; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bobby Melko was
an Eagle Scout from Boy Scouts of 
10America  Troop 22 in Des Plaines; he was also a Vigil Honor 
11Member
of the Order of the Arrow and was involved in Scouting 
12as an Assistant Scoutmaster,
Scoutmaster, and Committee 
13Chairman; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Bobby Melko knew that supporting Scouting took 
15more than dollars; in addition to raising funds, he helped 
16revive the George Meany Service Award in 2015; he was 
17instrumental in starting the Building Tech program that 
18connected unions with Scouts attempting to earn merit badges; 
19and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Bobby Melko was the beloved son of Robert and the

1late Nancy Melko; the loving brother of Shirley Melko, Sophie 
2(Casey) Hudson, and Stacy (Brad) Goble; the cherished uncle of 
3David (Kim), Rob (Brandi), Sara, Kailah, Andrew, and Bradley 
4Jr.; great-uncle to Thomas; and dog father to Buster and Oakum; 
5therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
7HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we mourn the passing of Robert F. "Bobby" Melko and extend our 
9sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew 
10and loved him; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to  the family of  Bobby Melko as an expression of our 
13deepest sympathy.
