| 2 | | WHEREAS, The Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Illinois |
| 3 | | has
dedicated itself to the promotion of good will among |
| 4 | | mankind and to the
betterment of all persons in each city and |
| 5 | | community in which they exist; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, This year on the North American continent, the |
| 7 | | Independent Order of
Odd Fellows will commemorate their 200th |
| 8 | | anniversary as well as
celebrate the 183rd anniversary of |
| 9 | | continual good works in the great State of Illinois; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, The Independent Odd Fellows of Illinois has |
| 11 | | touched nearly every
community throughout this great State |
| 12 | | through their generous contributions,
scholarships, and |
| 13 | | benevolent care of the elderly and youth; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, April 26 is the date of the birth of the Odd |
| 15 | | Fellows 200 years ago; therefore, be it
|
| 16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 17 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 18 | | we declare the week of April 21-27, 2019 as Independent Order |
| 19 | | of Odd Fellows Week; and be it further
