HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the St. Mark's Lutheran 
4School boys track and field team of Steeleville on their recent 
5success; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, On May 11, 2019, St. Mark's competed in the 
7Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association 
8State Track Meet in Herrin; Carter Wasson placed 4th in the 100 
9meter hurdles, 2nd in the 400 meter dash, and second in the 100 
10meter dash; Evan Reitz placed 1st in the 100 meter hurdles and 
11competed in the 800 and 1600 meter
runs; Cayton Cratch competed 
12in the 1600 meter run; St. Mark's placed 4th as a team; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, On May 18, 2019, St. Mark's competed at the 
14Lutheran Sports Association State Championship, where they 
15placed 2nd as a team; Carter Wasson placed 1st in the 100 meter 
16dash, the 400
meter dash, and the 110 meter hurdles; Evan Buch 
17placed 3rd in shot put; Evan Reitz placed 4th in the 800
meter 
18and 6th in the 110 meter hurdles; the relay team consisting of 
19Cayton Cratch, Evan Reitz, Evan Buch,
and Carter Wasson placed 
203rd in the 4x400 relay; and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, St. Mark's is coached by Larry and Ann Luedders;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate the St. Mark's Lutheran School boys track and 
4field team on their recent success; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the St. Mark's track and field team as a symbol of 
7our respect and esteem.
