| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the East St. Louis High |
| 4 | | School boys track and field team, the Flyers, on winning the |
| 5 | | 2019 Illinois High School Association Class 2A Boys State |
| 6 | | Championship; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The Flyers overwhelmed the competition as it |
| 8 | | scored 84 points to win the championship on May 25, 2019 at |
| 9 | | O'Brien Field on the campus of Eastern Illinois University in |
| 10 | | Charleston; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, It is the 12th championship for the Flyers and the |
| 12 | | first since they won the Class 3A championship in 2016; since |
| 13 | | 2007, they have won three championships and finished as the |
| 14 | | runner-up three additional times; therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 16 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 17 | | we congratulate the East St. Louis High School boys track and |
| 18 | | field team, the Flyers, on winning the 2019 Illinois High |
| 19 | | School Association Class 2A Boys State Championship, and we |
| 20 | | wish them many more successful years; and be it further
