HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Fulton 
4County Sheriff's Deputy Troy P. Chisum, who passed away on June 
525, 2019; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Phil 
7and Debra (Hebb) Chisum on August 10, 1979; he married Amanda 
8Stoddard in Canton on April 17, 1999; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum loved his community and served as a  
10deputy with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office; he also worked 
11as a paramedic with the Fulton County EMA and as a  firefighter 
12with Northern Tazewell County; he was a member of the West 
13Central Special Response Team and the ILEAS WMD/SRT Team, 
14Region 6; he had previously worked for the Lewistown Police 
15Department; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum enjoyed watching the Minnesota 
17Vikings, visiting the shooting range, and playing on his alumni 
18football team; he enjoyed any activities that involved his wife 
19and his daughters and was always their number one fan; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum was preceded in death by his 
21paternal grandparents and his sister-in-law, Jessica Lasswell;

2    WHEREAS, Deputy Chisum is survived by his wife, Amanda; his 
3father, Phil Chisum; his mother and stepfather, Debra (Mike) 
4Wheeler; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walt (Kathy) 
5Thomas; his  daughters, Kyleigh (Andy DeLost) Chisum, Abigail 
6Chisum, and Gracie Chisum; his sister, Krysta Dilts; his 
7stepbrother, Zach Wheeler; his stepsister, Cher (Matt) Valdez; 
8his maternal grandparents, Lyle and Betty Hebb; and several 
9nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
11HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
12we mourn the passing of Fulton County Sheriff's Deputy Troy P. 
13Chisum and extend our sincere condolences to his  family, 
14friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16presented to  the family of  Deputy Chisum as an expression of 
17our deepest sympathy.
