HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Glen Ellyn Park 
4District on the occasion of its 100th anniversary on November 
53, 2019; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Glen Ellyn Park District was formed in October 
7of 1919; over the years, numerous facilities and open space 
8have been added to the park district to meet the growing needs 
9of the community; it provides over 700 programs,  serving the 
10needs of infants through seniors; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Glen Ellyn Park District has 31 parks that 
12provide recreation, access to open spaces, and preservation of 
13open lands and animal habitats; the  parks are meticulously 
14maintained for the community's use in both unstructured 
15recreation and for programmed events; and
  
 

  
16    WHEREAS, The Glen Ellyn Park District's mission is driven 
17to foster diverse, community-based leisure opportunities, 
18through a harmonious blend of quality recreation programs, 
19facilities, and open space, which will enhance the quality of 
20life into the future; therefore, be it
  
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

1HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
2we congratulate the Glen Ellyn Park District on its 100th 
3anniversary, and we wish them many more wonderful years; and be 
4it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the Glen Ellyn Park District as a symbol of our 
7respect and esteem.
